Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar and Portugal's Ivo Oliveira achieved victories in the Critérium du Dauphiné in France and the Tour of Slovenia, respectively. In France, Tadej Pogačar defied expectations by winning stage 1 of the Critérium du Dauphiné. The world champion broke away late with Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel before sprinting to victory in Montluçon. This win propelled him into the race lead, donning the yellow jersey for stage 2.

The results of Critérium du Dauphiné 2025 stage 1 were as follows: Tadej Pogačar from UAE Team Emirates-XRG finished first with a time of 4:40:12. Jonas Vingegaard from Visma-Lease a Bike and Mathieu van der Poel from Alpecin-Deceuninck both finished with the same time.

The results for stage 5 were: Ivo Oliveira (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) at 2:56:16; Andrea Bagioli (Lidl-Trek) and Fernando Barcelo (Caja-Rural – Seguros RGA) both finished with the same time.
