Saudi Teams Achieve Total Of 14 Medals At Asian Youth Games In Bahrain
Saudi Arabia's athletes have increased their medal tally to 14 at the third Asian Youth Games in Bahrain. This achievement came after camel racer Wasmi Al-Balawi and weightlifter Abdullah Al-Muhaimid each secured bronze medals on Monday. Al-Balawi earned his bronze in the youth individual camel racing event, where competitors from 13 Asian nations participated. The United Arab Emirates took both gold and silver in this event.
Abdullah Al-Muhaimid clinched Saudi Arabia's second bronze in the 65 kg weightlifting category by lifting 122 kg. Meanwhile, in eSports, an all-Saudi quarterfinal is set for Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Faisal Al-Nafisi will face Talal Rajkhan in the Street Fighter 6 competition. Al-Nafisi advanced from Group A with victories over Mongolia, Kyrgyz Republic, and Thailand but lost to Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei.

Rajkhan progressed from Group B after defeating Jordan and Sri Lanka but faced losses against Chinese Taipei and the UAE. This matchup highlights Saudi Arabia's growing presence in eSports on the Asian stage.
The Saudi table tennis team also had a successful day on Monday. Abdulrahman Al-Taher, Nihal Al-Qahtani, and Saud Al-Taher won their second-round singles matches. Saud Al-Taher defeated Yemen’s Wissam Bakhah 3–0, while Nihal Al-Qahtani overcame Cambodia’s Sukon with the same scoreline. Abdulrahman Al-Taher triumphed over Lebanon’s Ramez Al-Dakdouki 3–0.
Nihal Al-Qahtani is set to face China’s Yu Heyi in the Round of 32 at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Abdulrahman Al-Taher will compete against Lebanon’s Michel Abi Nader in the Round of 64 at 11:30 a.m., while Saud Al-Taher advances directly to the Round of 32.
Handball Team Nears Historic Final
