The Saudi Press Agency explored this trend in Al-Jouf Region by speaking with players and experts.

Arhan Al-Sahli, a padel expert and player, described the game as strategic, focusing more on tactics than physical strength. This makes it easy to learn for all ages and skill levels. Al-Sahli noted that young people's interest in diverse sports activities shows their desire for a healthy lifestyle and breaking routine to improve life quality.

Growing Interest in Padel Among Youth

Hanaa Al-Ruwaili, another player, shared her enthusiasm for padel due to its competitive nature and enjoyment factor. She pointed out that the sport's popularity is increasing among both young men and women. The growing awareness of fitness and health encourages many to engage in regular physical activities through various sports.

Ahmed Al-Saleh, who previously played tennis, highlighted how padel combines elements from both tennis and squash. He mentioned that playing in doubles adds a cooperative aspect to the game, making it enjoyable and accessible. This combination makes padel easier to play while retaining excitement.

Bader Al-Shammari, head of the Hraak sports association in Al-Jouf, discussed efforts to support padel's growth. The association focuses on encouraging players and enhancing their skills through training programs. They have organized several events, including seven competitions for men and four for women, attracting many enthusiasts.

The Hraak sports association remains committed to aligning events with community interests. By organizing competitions and providing essential knowledge, they aim to promote sports development at the community level across the region. These initiatives help foster a supportive environment for padel enthusiasts.
