UAE: RAK Properties, Arabian Warrior to Launch Olympic-Level Obstacle Course Racing In This Emirate

RAK Properties, property developer based in Ras Al Khaimah, has recently unveiled a significant partnership with Arabian Warrior, a prominent obstacle course racing event organizer. This new alliance positions RAK Properties at the forefront of promoting obstacle course racing (OCR), an emerging sport anticipated to debut in the 2028 Olympic Games.

The initiative will feature the establishment of a semi-permanent OCR facility at Mina Al Arab, RAK Properties' flagship development. This facility is designed to be a hub for local schools, communities, and athletes aspiring to excel in obstacle course racing. It aims to offer top-notch training opportunities and play a crucial role in promoting physical fitness and mental well-being among participants.

Arabian Warrior is set to organize a series of events across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), including the inaugural Arabian Warrior Schools National Championships in Ras Al Khaimah. These events, spanning seven weeks and multiple emirates, aim to engage schoolchildren in OCR, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and mental health. The National Championship will focus on discovering and nurturing local talents capable of competing internationally.

This partnership aligns perfectly with the recent inclusion of obstacle course racing in the Modern Pentathlon for the 2028 Olympic Games, with expectations high for OCR to become an independent sport by the 2032 Olympics. In preparation for the LA28 games, Arabian Warrior will collaborate with the world's elite OCR athletes, utilizing the Middle East as a strategic training ground.
