Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Qassim Region, acknowledged the unwavering support from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for sports and athletes. This backing has transformed the Kingdom into a global sports hub, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030.
The torch's journey in Qassim started at Al-Bassam Heritage House. World rally champion Ahmad Al-Shegawi carried it initially, passing it to karate champion Saleh Al-Quba. Saleh won silver in the 2019 Asian Championship in Kazakhstan, bronze in the 2019 Arab Championship in Tunisia, and gold in the 2022 Saudi Games.

Prince Faisal highlighted that the Saudi Games are crucial for nurturing a new generation of athletes who can elevate the Kingdom's name internationally. He also commended Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal for his significant contributions to advancing the sports sector.
During an event at Prince Sultan Educational Complex School, Prince Faisal received the torch of the third Saudi Games from Abdulaziz Al-Sanani, former director of the Ministry of Sport branch in Qassim Region. Judo medalist Abdulelah Albali carried the torch at this event. Albali has an impressive record, including gold in the Gulf Championship in Bahrain and bronze in both the Arab Championship in Tunisia and Jeju International Championship in Korea.
The torch continued its tour to one of Qassim's notable tourist spots, Al-Qasr Heritage Gate. Here, fencing medalist Ruba Al-Masri carried it. She is celebrated as the first Saudi woman to win a medal at the European Circuit Championship under 23 during her debut participation in Kamenik, Slovenia, where she secured a bronze medal.
Ruba Al-Masri also boasts gold medals from both 2022 and 2023 Saudi Games. Additionally, she earned bronze in individual competition at Combat Games Riyadh 2023 and gold in team competition at Combat Games Riyadh 2023.
