Nicolai Von Dellingshausen Secures First DP World Tour Victory At Austrian Alpine Open

Nicolai von Dellingshausen claimed his first DP World Tour title at the 2025 Austrian Alpine Open, presented by SalzburgerLand. His exceptional putting performance on Sunday led to a two-shot win. Starting the final round one stroke behind, he quickly moved ahead with consecutive birdies on the third and fourth holes.

Von Dellingshausen faced a setback with a bogey on the sixth hole, which put him in a tie for the lead. However, he regained momentum by gaining four shots over three holes from the eighth, reaching 19 under par. This gave him a comfortable lead as he approached the final stretch of the tournament.

Kristoffer Reitan of Norway set an early clubhouse target with a bogey-free 60, finishing at 17 under. This added pressure to those still playing. Despite some tense moments, such as landing in a fairway bunker on the 16th and narrowly avoiding a penalty area on the 18th, Von Dellingshausen managed to maintain his composure.

Von Dellingshausen concluded with a par on the last hole, securing his victory at 19 under. Reitan shared second place with Marcel Schneider, who had been leading for much of the tournament, both finishing at 17 under.

Starting his day at 14 under and trailing Schneider by one shot, Von Dellingshausen quickly caught up when Schneider bogeyed the first hole. After saving par on the first two holes, Von Dellingshausen took sole possession of the lead with a long birdie putt on the third and extended it further with another birdie on the fourth.

He offset a bogey on six with an eight-foot birdie putt on eight before sinking an impressive eagle from 30 feet on nine. This gave him a two-shot advantage at the halfway point. Continuing his strong putting display, he holed another significant putt from 16 feet on ten to extend his lead to three shots.

As he progressed through the back nine, Von Dellingshausen made crucial par saves from six feet on thirteen and ten feet on sixteen. He then completed his round with a par at eighteen to seal an impressive victory in Austria.
