NAS Sports Tournament Gears Up For Its 11th Edition With Diverse Sports Lineup

The Organising Committee of the NAS Sports Tournament recently held a coordination meeting to finalise the preparations for its 11th edition, set to take place at Nad Al-Sheba Sports Complex during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Titled 'Unlimited Abilities', this year's edition aims to showcase a wide range of sports talents across nine different games including volleyball, padel, jujitsu, fencing, wheelchair basketball, running, cycling, tug of war, and an obstacle challenge.

The meeting witnessed the attendance of key figures including Saleh Al-Marzouqi, the Head of the Executive Committee, Mr. Ali Omar, the Deputy Head, and Hassan Al-Mazroue, the Tournament Manager, among others. Adel Al-Bannai, Head of the Technical Committee, emphasised the Committee's meticulous planning to ensure the tournament's success. He confirmed that all venues and pitches for the nine sports have been finalised, with various locations across the Nad Al-Sheba Complex and Mohammed Bin Rashid City hosting the competitions.

Prizes and Registration

Al-Bannai revealed that the tournament will offer valuable financial prizes to encourage peak performances from participants. Although details of the prizes are yet to be announced, he urged athletes and sports enthusiasts to register for their preferred sports through the official website www.nasst.ae. The committee is also facilitating inquiries through email and phone, ensuring participants have all the necessary information.

Venues and Competitions

Specific venues within Nad Al-Sheba Sports Complex have been designated for the diverse range of competitions. The volleyball, jujitsu, and fencing competitions, along with the wheelchair basketball final, will be held in the main hall. The padel competition will take place in a dedicated hall adjacent to the main venue. Running enthusiasts will head to Meydan Track, while cyclists will compete along Meydan Road and other districts within Mohammed Bin Rashid City. The tug of war and obstacle challenge will find their battleground within the spacious confines of the Nad Al-Sheba Sports Complex.

Preparations and Promotions

The Organising Committee has thoroughly reviewed the latest logistical arrangements and participant numbers for each competition. Discussions also covered the tournament schedules and promotional activities aimed at engaging fans. Special attention is being given to accommodating the public across various venues, including the Dubai Club for People of Determination, enhancing the accessibility and enjoyment of the wheelchair basketball competition.
