Dubai Hosts Successful International Schools Championship, Showcases Youth Talent

The International Schools Championship, a highly anticipated sports event, recently wrapped up in Dubai, showcasing the talents of young athletes across football, basketball, and swimming. This competition, a collaborative effort between Jam Sports Academy and Dubai Sports Council, saw the participation of 400 male and female players. These participants hailed from various educational institutions across the UAE, Lebanon, and Iraq, highlighting the international scope of the event.

The venues for the championship included Champs Academy in Festival City Dubai, Al Nasr Club, Al Salam Community School, and Al-Ettihad School in Jumeirah, each hosting different segments of the competition. The football segment saw 12 teams divided into three groups, competing fiercely for the top positions. The International College Lebanon - Ain Aar emerged victorious in the first category, followed by International College Lebanon 7 and Cougars 7 (W), showcasing exceptional skills on the field. Malik Abu Zaher, from International College Lebanon 7, was celebrated as the best player in the football competition.

Dubai s Youth Sports Triumph

For the girls' football segment, the Reds Team clinched the first place, with Cougars Ain Aar and International College Lebanon - Ras Beirut - GR8 following in second and third places, respectively. Hala Humaidan from the Reds Team was distinguished as the best player in this category. This part of the competition featured six teams, demonstrating the growing interest and participation in girls' football.

Turning to basketball, the boys' competition was won by the International School of Choueifat – Erbil Iraq, with the International College Lebanon Ain Aar School and International College Lebanon - Ras Beirut securing the second and third places. Hussain Parzji from the winning team was honored as the best player of the tournament. Similarly, the girls' basketball competition saw active participation, with the International College Lebanon - Ras Beirut taking the first place. Lolah Saud, from the same team, was named as the best player, underlining the competitive spirit and talent among the participants.

Swimming competitions added another layer of excitement to the championship, with Lana Al-Rais from the French International School and Sami Al-Fas, also from the French International School, winning the 50 M butterfly events for girls and boys, respectively. The backstroke events saw athletes from the International College Lebanon and the French International School dominating the top positions, showcasing their prowess in the pool.
