Emirati Sisters Amna And Hamda Al Qubaisi Make Exciting Comeback For F1 Academy Season Finale
The Yas Marina Circuit, a cornerstone in the racing journeys of Hamda and Amna Al Qubaisi, will again be the focal point as they conclude an impressive season in the F1 Academy, marking their second year in the prestigious support series. The Emirati sisters have escalated their racing careers, showcasing their talent from December 6-8 at the circuit that has been instrumental in their development.
Originating from Abu Dhabi, the Al Qubaisi sisters have transitioned from budding enthusiasts to formidable competitors within the racing world, thanks to the nurturing environment of the Yas Heat Academy. This premier development program has played a pivotal role in their ascent, with both sisters now competing for leading teams in the championship and acting as ambassadors for Yas Heat Racing, reflecting the nation's dedication to fostering young sports talents.

Hamda Al Qubaisi, at 22, has made significant strides this season, particularly with Red Bull Racing in its inaugural F1 Academy year. Her performances have been consistently strong, highlighted by a commendable effort in Doha's penultimate race, placing her sixth as she heads into the final round. Her sister, Amna, 24, has similarly distinguished herself driving for Visa Cash App Racing, earning accolades for her resilience and skill on the track.
As they gear up for their return to Yas Marina Circuit, Amna shared her journey, emphasizing a decade of growth from karting to the cusp of professional racing, underpinned by the support from Yas Heat. "I've been racing for 10 years now, I started in karting here at Yas Marina circuit, and I slowly developed from karting nationally, moving up to juniors, then seniors, and the next step was Formula 4. Being a Yas Heat ambassador has been great. Yas Heat has helped me develop my skills. They have taught me, coached me, provided me with the appropriate insights. It is a program that is going to help young racers in karting move up the ladder."
Hamda echoed her sister's sentiments, expressing pride in representing their country and Yas Heat Racing on an international level. "Racing at Yas Marina Circuit is both nostalgic and empowering for us as Emirati women. Representing the UAE and Yas Heat Racing on a global stage has been an incredible opportunity, and we look forward to finishing the season on a high note by giving all we can for our teams, surrounded by friends and family."
The championship weekend also introduces Logan Hannah, a British racer making a wildcard entry supported by Yas Heat Racing. Hannah, 20, will be driving for the travel brand Away, adding another layer of excitement to the F1 Academy's season finale.
The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, commencing on December 4, will not only host the F1 Academy but also the climaxes of the FIA Formula 2 and the FIA Formula 4 Middle East Trophy Round. This action-packed schedule promises an exhilarating four-day celebration at Yas Island, reinforcing its status as a hub for premier racing events.
The Al Qubaisi sisters' return to the Yas Marina Circuit epitomizes their racing journey's full circle, from eager novices to seasoned competitors. Their progress, underpinned by the Yas Heat Academy, showcases the UAE's commitment to cultivating sporting excellence.
