Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025: Expanded Concerts, Pit Lane Access And Family Entertainment

Record crowds are expected in the UAE capital as the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix returns to Yas Marina Circuit, with organisers expanding concerts, pit lane access, track walks, family activities, citywide fan zones and complimentary entry to leading Abu Dhabi cultural attractions throughout the 2025 season-finale race week.

The Yasalam After-Race concert series at Etihad Park begins before on-track sessions, delivering four consecutive nights of international acts. Access is extended to Grand Prix ticket holders, with performances scheduled from Thursday, 4 December, through Sunday, 7 December, adjacent to Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025 expands fan experience

Organisers have confirmed a pop-focused opening, with “Beautiful Things” singer Benson Boone booked for Thursday, 4 December. On Friday, 5 December, Elyanna and Post Malone will take to the Etihad Park stage in separate sets, continuing the pre- and post-race entertainment programme for fans across Yas Island.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Metallica are scheduled for Saturday, 6 December, bringing their signature sound to Etihad Park. On Sunday, 7 December, pop singer Katy Perry will perform the race-day concert, closing the four-night music line-up linked to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

Late-night programming continues beyond Etihad Park, with Idris Elba, Berlin-based collective Keinemusik and British DJ Calvin Harris confirmed for the Official After-Parties on Yas Island. These events extend the race-week nightlife, offering ticketholders additional entertainment options into the early hours.

Super Thursday and expanded trackside access

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, among the first Formula 1 races to introduce a public pit lane walk, is increasing opportunities for fans to get close to team operations in 2025. The Super Thursday schedule includes two F1 Pit Lane Walk sessions on Thursday, 4 December, with timings to be confirmed on social channels.

Both pit lane sessions will allow ticket holders to watch teams preparing garages and cars ahead of the season finale, with the possibility of seeing drivers in the paddock area. Access remains limited and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticketholders.

New FAB Track Walks have been added, giving spectators the chance to tour Yas Marina Circuit from a driver’s-eye perspective before racing begins. During the evening FAB Track Walk, participants can continue along the circuit directly to Etihad Park, where Benson Boone opens the first After-Race Concert of the weekend.

Entry for the pit lane experiences and FAB Track Walks is via the Main Fan Zone. All trackside activities are restricted to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders, with capacity limits in place and access managed according to availability during the Thursday programme and subsequent sessions.

Grand Prix tickets linked to city attractions

Multi-day Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tickets include complimentary access to several of Abu Dhabi’s leading attractions, extending the event beyond the circuit. Organisers describe the offer as a wider leisure package, combining the high-energy Grand Prix schedule with cultural and family-friendly options across the capital.

This year’s inclusions highlight new institutions within Saadiyat Cultural District. Access covers the multisensory art museum teamLab Phenomena, the recently opened Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and the Zayed National Museum, which is scheduled to open on 3 December, one day before the Grand Prix programme begins.

Family-focused initiatives across Yas Island

#AbuDhabiGP ticketholders can register via the Abu Dhabi GP app to bring up to four children aged three to twelve free of charge on Friday. Across the weekend, family-oriented programming includes workshops on Abu Dhabi Hill, the Kids Play Garage, designated family zones and karting sessions at the circuit.

The Yas in Schools Experience Centre at North Oasis (N31–N32) will operate as an interactive stop for families. Open to all ticket holders with a wristband collected from the North Oasis Info Point, it will feature motorsport-inspired STEM challenges and workshops designed for children and accompanying parents.

Yas Bay Family Fan Zone and citywide viewing

The new Yas Bay Family Fan Zone extends Grand Prix access to both ticket holders and non-ticket holders, offering a family-centred environment beyond the circuit perimeter. It has been set up as an additional venue for residents and visitors to follow the season finale action on Yas Island.

Inside the fan zone, Etihad Arena’s giant screen will broadcast every session of the racing, complemented by car-themed films in the evenings. Food options will be available within the zone, while restaurants across Yas Bay will offer meal deals throughout the weekend to accommodate increased visitor numbers.

Families visiting Yas Bay will find racing-themed experiences, roaming musicians and child-oriented activities designed to mirror the Grand Prix atmosphere. The Family Fan Zone is positioned as an inclusive alternative for those wishing to participate in race-week celebrations without attending Yas Marina Circuit itself.

Organisers are urging spectators to download the Abu Dhabi GP app in advance of arrival. All event tickets are stored digitally within the app, which also features weekend schedules, circuit maps, frequently asked questions and a Wayfinding tool to help visitors move between venues and fan zones.

The app uses regenerative ticket barcodes, meaning printed copies and screenshots will not be accepted at entry points. Spectators must present live tickets within the official application to access the circuit and associated experiences, ensuring controlled and secure entry throughout the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.
