Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Reveals 2024 Attractions For Heightened Fan Experience

The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix meticulously organised by Ethara, has significantly boosted Abu Dhabi's economy, generating over Dh1.16 billion in 2023 through attendee expenditure. This substantial financial injection underscores the event's role in enhancing Abu Dhabi's status as a premier destination for sports, leisure, and tourism.

With preparations underway for the 24th and concluding race of the Formula 1 season, the 16th edition of the Abu Dhabi GP weekend is scheduled from 5-8 December 2024 at the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island. This year's event is poised to further enrich the fan experience, notably with the debut of the Run #AbuDhabiGP, allowing participants to traverse the Yas Marina Circuit on Thursday, 5 December. This initiative, aimed at promoting health and wellness, builds upon Ethara's ongoing TrainYAS activity, which has attracted over 1 million participants to run, walk, or cycle the track.

Grand Prix Spurs Abu Dhabi Economy

Racegoers will enjoy an array of benefits, including access to the circuit, the Yasalam After-Race Concert on their selected race weekend day, and a complimentary one-day pass to any of Yas Island's theme parks within a seven-day window. This includes attractions such as Ferrari World Yas Island, Sea World Yas Island, Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi, and Yas Waterworld. The Yas All In programme, drawing 19,000 visitors to Yas Island's theme parks and 5,500 to Louvre Abu Dhabi during race week in 2023, exemplifies Abu Dhabi's expanding appeal as a top-tier tourist and sporting destination.

According to Saif Rashid Al Noaimi, CEO at Ethara, "The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix remains a pivotal event, merging the thrill of motor racing with top music acts, thereby establishing itself as the region's paramount sporting and entertainment spectacle alongside exceptional leisure activities across the race weekend."

In a notable collaboration aimed at enhancing the Yasalam entertainment offerings, Ethara has partnered with Live Nation. The 2024 Yasalam After-Race Concerts will feature an impressive lineup of AAA artists, starting with the Grammy Award-winning rock band Muse, set to perform at the upcoming Grand Prix.

James Craven, President at Live Nation Middle East, expressed excitement over the partnership with Ethara, promising an unforgettable post-race entertainment experience. He highlighted Muse's performance as the commencement of a thrilling series of performances by world-class artists.
