UAE’s Largest Cultural Programme Invites Nationwide School Participation
Today, the United Arab Emirates witnesses the launch of the expanded A.R.M. Holding Children's Programme, a significant cultural initiative poised to redefine arts education for the youth. In its fourth edition, the programme has evolved to become the largest of its kind in the UAE, engaging over 15,000 students aged between 5 to 17 from more than 100 schools spread across the seven emirates. This initiative, a collaboration between A.R.M. Holding and Art Dubai, aims to cultivate a culture of creativity and innovation through artist-designed workshops.
The 2024 edition of the programme, dubbed "Worlds in a Box," draws inspiration from dioramas, memory, and the built environment. Developed by the Goa-based artist Sahil Naik, the launch fittingly coincides with World Art Day, celebrating the universal appeal of artistic expression. This year introduces groundbreaking additions, including a tailored programme for people of determination and special masterclasses designed to elevate educators' teaching methodologies. The programme runs until June 2024, with schools invited to register by the 30th of April 2024.

At the core of this initiative is the partnership between A.R.M. Holding, Dubai's premier private investment firm, and Art Dubai, the Middle East's leading international art fair. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation through immersive arts education and hands-on learning experiences.
Fatma Almulla, Marketing Manager at A.R.M. Holding, emphasized the essential role of the arts in empowering youth, strengthening communities, and enriching culture. "Our commitment is deeply rooted in supporting local talent, particularly the youth, through education and training programmes for them and their mentors. This year's expansion, including masterclasses for teachers, is inspired by the programme's past successes and our belief in the transformative power of arts education," she stated.
Art Dubai, through its dedication to fostering artistic scholarship and critical discourse, especially from voices in the Global South, aligns with the programme's goals. With an extensive year-round education and professional development programme, Art Dubai collaborates with local and regional partners to deliver ambitious cultural programming. Benedetta Ghione, Executive Director of Art Dubai, highlighted the vital role of art and culture in enriching society, enhancing awareness, unlocking creativity, and fostering empathy through education. "In today's economy, where innovation and adaptability are crucial, engaging youth in the arts is essential. It prepares them for diverse career paths and contributes to solving broader economic challenges by developing a creative and skilled workforce," Ghione remarked.
The A.R.M. Holding Children's Programme is now open for registrations until the 30th of April 2024, offering schools across the nation an unparalleled opportunity to be part of a transformative educational journey. Schools and parents interested in nominating their institution for the bespoke workshop can do so by registering before the deadline.
