Nahyan Bin Mubarak Celebrates Graduation Of 45th Cohort At Al Mawakeb Schools In Dubai
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the graduation of Al Mawakeb Schools' 45th cohort. The event was held at the Al Khawaneej campus in Dubai, with many parents, faculty, and administrators present. Retired Major General Sharafuddin Mohamed Hussein Sharaf and Adonis Nasr from the school's Board of Directors also attended.
The ceremony celebrated 574 Grade 12 students completing their high school education. This milestone increased Al Mawakeb's alumni to over 15,000 since its founding in 1979. The student body represents more than 90 nationalities, showcasing the school's commitment to cultural diversity and academic excellence.

Sheikh Nahyan congratulated the graduates and their families, expressing pride in their achievements. He highlighted education's crucial role in shaping individuals and societies for a sustainable future. His words underscored the importance of dedication and perseverance in reaching this significant milestone.
Alissar Nabil Nasr, Chief Academic Officer of Al Mawakeb Schools, delivered an inspiring speech during the event. She encouraged graduates to embrace lifelong learning and uphold values like love, compassion, humility, and belonging. Her message emphasised that learning is a continuous journey toward personal growth.
Nasr advised students to seek opportunities where their contributions can benefit society. She said, "Always seek out the spaces where your giving can make a real impact in elevating society." She urged them not to chase material gains but to let knowledge guide their mission and responsibility to share it with others.
Nasr stressed humility and collaboration as essential in learning. She noted that societies lacking virtue have no lasting foundation. "Ethics are the essence of any entity that aspires to grow and thrive," she stated, urging graduates to carry forward their knowledge with courage and sincerity.
Principals from Al Garhoud, Al Barsha, and Al Khawaneej campuses also addressed the graduates. They expressed pride in their achievements during the UAE's "Year of Community." Their messages reinforced family values, social cohesion, and civic responsibility as key components of success.
The ceremony concluded with certificate presentations and group photos. The atmosphere was filled with joy and pride as graduates celebrated with their families. This memorable day highlighted the strong bond between Al Mawakeb Schools and its vibrant educational community.
