Nahyan Bin Mubarak Attends Graduation Ceremony For Zayed University Class Of 2025
The graduation ceremony for Zayed University's Class of 2025, themed "Future Makers," concluded with a celebration attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. Over three days, the event honoured 1,503 students from the Abu Dhabi and Dubai campuses. The final day highlighted 66 postgraduate students from seven colleges and 224 students who graduated with distinction.
Sheikh Nahyan congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments, encouraging them to use their knowledge and skills to benefit the nation. He emphasized their role in shaping a promising future for the UAE. At the ceremony's end, Sheikh Nahyan received a commemorative gift titled "Marhaban," a modern sculpture inspired by poetry from Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development and Chairperson of Zayed University’s Board of Trustees, also attended. She praised the graduates and their families, noting that this ceremony marks a new chapter shaped by the values taught at Zayed University. She stated that these values distinguish individuals beyond titles or appearances.
On the first day of celebrations, Hajar Al Dhahli, Secretary-General of the Education, Human Development and Community Council, was present as guest of honour. She acknowledged Zayed University's role in developing leadership skills among its students. Shamma Al Mazrouei addressed graduates: "Your values are what distinguish you—not your titles or appearance."
Professor Michael Allen, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Zayed University, encouraged graduates to apply their skills not only professionally but also within their communities. He remarked on their ability to adapt and grow continuously. "As Zayed University graduates," he said, "you possess an extraordinary ability to adapt, grow and redefine yourselves again and again."
The graduation events underscored Zayed University's commitment to nurturing future leaders while celebrating individual student achievements. The institution continues to play a crucial role in empowering students with education that combines tradition with modernity.
