Mohamed Bin Zayed University Celebrates Holy Month With Public Service Initiatives
The Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities is embracing the spirit of Ramadan through a variety of public service programs, including the notable launch of the third edition of the Qur'an Mubeen TV series on Al Emarat TV. This endeavor, spanning 30 episodes, is designed to illuminate the core values as highlighted in the Quran, offering a contemporary perspective on the Holy text's teachings.
The series will feature a roster of scholars and professors, each contributing their insights on a range of topics drawn from the Quran. These include parables, the moral guidance of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and principles of dialogue and understanding. The episodes are set to cover an expansive array of subjects, from Quranic eloquence and reflections on specific Surahs to the importance of family relations, notable Quranic figures, and the emphasis on peace within the text.
In addition to the TV series, the University has planned four episodes of open dialogues on religious and human thought during Ramadan. These sessions will convene experts in religious, national, and leadership fields, fostering an environment of knowledge exchange and direct communication between the university's students and notable thought leaders in the UAE.
Moreover, a daily religious video series will be broadcasted across the university's platforms. This includes the Guidance and Sermon programme, which aims to delve into Quranic verses and the Prophetic Values video, focusing on moral teachings from the Sunnah of the Messenger. These initiatives underscore the university's dedication to enriching community knowledge and reinforcing faith-based values.
Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, Chancellor of the Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, commented on the significance of these initiatives. He emphasised their role in aligning with the university's mission to promote a deeper understanding of religious discourse and embed human and national values within the academic and societal framework. Dr. Al Dhaheri also highlighted the success of the Qur'an Mubeen program in previous seasons and its contribution to fostering qualities of mercy, love, and peaceful coexistence in line with the values of human fraternity.
The curated content for the TV series and video segments is expected to offer profound insights, drawing from the expertise of Islamic scholars and academicians. These efforts reflect the university's commitment to nurturing a knowledgeable, tolerant, and cohesive society, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
