The National Media Office (NMO), in partnership with TRENDS Research and Advisory, has unveiled a study titled "The Role of Media Regulatory Institutions in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges." This research delves into how AI applications are reshaping the media sector and the ethical and regulatory hurdles faced by Arab media institutions amidst swift technological advancements.

The study was introduced during the third Global Media Congress 2024 in Abu Dhabi. It examines how AI technologies have transformed media, enhancing its ability to influence and engage audiences. AI has equipped media with smarter, faster tools for news delivery, affecting print, audio, visual, social media, and new platforms.

Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council, highlighted the UAE's focus on scientific research. He stated that this research is vital for fostering a knowledge-based economy and innovation.
