GETEX 2025: Connecting Educational Institutions and Students to Future Opportunities

From April 30 to May 2, 2025, the Dubai World Trade Centre will host the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX). This edition of GETEX, supported by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), promises to provide an enriching experience for students and their families seeking higher education opportunities.

The inclusion of interactive workshops on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics marks a new addition to the event, aimed at equipping students with hands-on experience in these forward-looking disciplines through interactive workshops.

These hands-on sessions, available throughout the three-day event, are designed to immerse students in future-focused subjects, providing a glimpse into possible career trajectories. These workshops will be facilitated by experienced educators and industry professionals, aiming to equip students with essential skills for the evolving job market.

GETEX 2025 aims to significantly impact the academic and career choices of its attendees by presenting an extensive array of programs and institutions.

Highlighting the international aspect of GETEX, the event will feature Country Pavilions from Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and the CIS countries.

These pavilions will host a mix of educational institutions and government boards, presenting a diverse selection of study options and scholarships which will enable students to access a broad spectrum of academic choices directly, facilitating well-informed decision-making processes regarding their educational pathways.

Anselm Godinho, Managing Director of International Conferences & Exhibitions, the organizers behind GETEX, commented on the changing educational landscape. "With the shift in global geopolitical dynamics, a significant number of families have relocated to Dubai and coupled with reduced student intakes by major destinations like Canada, USA, UK, and Australia, the demand for diverse, high-quality academic options within the region has substantially increased," he stated.

In response to this heightened demand, GETEX has broadened its scope to include more global universities and a wider variety of courses, thereby facilitating informed decisions about students' educational and career futures.

The increasing number of enrolments at international universities with branches in the UAE highlights Dubai's expanding allure as a destination for higher education. This growth is in sync with the KHDA's Education 33 (E33) strategy, which aims to position Dubai among the world's top 10 cities for education by 2033.

GETEX plays a pivotal role in this vision by showcasing over 900 academic programs across various fields like management, medicine, engineering, finance, and IT.

GETEX 2025 is set to offer a comprehensive platform for students to explore a wide range of higher education options, interact with experts in innovative fields, and access valuable resources for their academic and career development.

This event not only underscores Dubai's commitment to becoming a leading global education hub but also ensures that students in the region have the necessary tools and opportunities to navigate the evolving demands of the global job market.
