Eleven Professors From Abu Dhabi University Recognised Among Stanford's Top Cited Scientists For 2024

Eleven professors from Abu Dhabi University (ADU) have been acknowledged on Stanford University's global list of the top two percent most cited scientists for 2024. This recognition highlights ADU’s dedication to advancing research and innovation. The annual list, published by Elsevier and featured by Stanford University, underscores the contributions of ADU faculty to global academic and scientific knowledge.

The recognition of these professors showcases the increasing impact of ADU's research output, aligning with its mission to lead in research both regionally and globally. The 11 professors were recognised for their work across various disciplines within engineering. Dr. Shehzad Ashraf Chaudhry, an Associate Professor in Cybersecurity Engineering, was noted for his career-long contributions.

ADU Professors Among Top Cited Scientists

Prof. Nauman Khalid, a Professor of Nutrition, was acknowledged for his research in food sciences, nutritional sciences, and public health. Prof. Haitham Nobanee, a Professor of Finance, stood out for his work in sustainable finance, risk management, and decision analytics. His prolific research at the intersection of green finance and corporate social responsibility has placed him among the top 2 percent globally.

Prof. Fauzia Jabeen was recognised for her contributions to Business and Management research. Dr. Moatsum Alawida's work focused on chaos-based cryptographic applications and multimedia security. His expertise extends to blockchain, cybersecurity, drone security, IoT security, threat detection, AI generative security, and cryptography.

Prof. Philip Molyneux was listed for his career-long contributions to understanding business and markets. Prof. Najla Ellili was celebrated for her outstanding research in finance. Prof. Osama Ahmed Mohamed made the list for his work in materials, buildings and construction strategies.

Dr. Masoomeh Mirrashid was recognised for her achievements in structural engineering and construction fields. Prof. Mohammed Ghazal contributed significantly to information technologies and artificial intelligence research at ADU with 310 Scopus publications and 5,700 citations.

Advancements in Environmental Research

Dr. Hatem Abu Shammala's work in sustainable materials earned him a spot on Stanford University's list as well. His focus on bio-based polymers and nanomaterials has advanced eco-friendly material development addressing environmental challenges.
