Canadian University Dubai Unveils Groundbreaking MBA Program With Harvard Business Review
Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has introduced new future-oriented focus areas in its flagship Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. These enhancements aim to equip graduates with skills essential for upcoming business challenges. Developed in collaboration with Harvard Business Review, the programs address the evolving demands for sustainable development, digital transformation, and strategic leadership.
Innovative MBA Focus Areas
The revamped MBA offers four distinct focus areas while retaining a core set of courses. These core courses now include subjects like financial decision-making, business ethics, and sustainability. Students can specialize in General Management or Finance or choose from newly updated disciplines in Digital Marketing or Talent Management Leadership. Sustainability lessons are integrated into all programs, tailored to each specific focus area.

Additionally, the curriculum incorporates local perspectives and advanced technologies such as simulations and interactive tools developed with Harvard Business Review. This ensures that students receive a comprehensive education that is both globally relevant and locally applicable.
Practical Learning Opportunities
The core MBA curriculum now includes two practical courses: the Applied Consulting Project and the Applied Research Project. These courses connect students directly with the local business community through industry-based assignments. Such experiential learning opportunities aim to enhance employability and prepare graduates for strategic consulting roles.
The updated curriculum was developed with input from CUD's School of Management Advisory Board. This board comprises CEOs and senior personnel from leading industry and government organizations like DIFC, P&G, Evoteq, and the UAE Ministry of Economy. They also support facilitating the consulting and research project courses.
Cross-Continental Academic Journey
MBA students at CUD have a unique opportunity to transfer mid-program to the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in Canada. Throughout their studies, they can interact with UNB counterparts through joint programs and initiatives. This cross-continental academic journey enriches their learning experience.
Professor Dima Jamali, Vice President of Academic Affairs at CUD, stated, "The launch of our revitalized MBA program signifies CUD's unwavering commitment to international benchmarking in education. By incorporating cutting-edge focus areas and fostering strategic industry partnerships, we empower our graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the ever-evolving global business landscape. Our collaborations with distinguished organizations and the unique opportunity for a cross-continental academic journey with our partner, the University of New Brunswick, further enrich the learning experience, preparing our students to become future-ready leaders."
The MBA program is now accepting applications for the Fall cycle starting on 26th August. Prospective candidates can apply for the fall 2024 intake via CUD's website.
