Kuwait Students Honoured By British Council For Excellence

The British Council recently celebrated the exceptional achievements of 41 students from its partner schools in Kuwait, who have been recognized for their outstanding performance in the May/June 2023 and Oct/Nov 2022 examination series by Cambridge Assessment International Education and Pearson Edexcel. This prestigious acknowledgment highlights the hard work, dedication, and commitment of these students towards their academic pursuits.

The celebratory event not only recognized the students' achievements but also underscored the advantages of UK International School Qualifications. It served as a platform for schools and the British Council to discuss new collaboration opportunities and ways to strengthen their existing relationship further.

41 Students Honoured by British Council

Among those who attended the event were notable figures such as Ms. Sunny Ahmed, Charge D'affaires at the British Embassy Kuwait, Noura Abdulkareem Faraj, Head of Equivalency from the Ministry of Private Education, and Michael King, Director of Examinations and Assessments for KSA, Kuwait & Bahrain at the British Council.

Ms. Sunny Ahmed highlighted the significance of education in the longstanding relationship between Kuwait and the UK, which is celebrating its 125th anniversary of diplomatic ties. She praised the British Council Kuwait for its efforts in enhancing teacher professional development and supporting curriculum delivery in schools through the Partner Schools Network (PSN).

Michael King expressed his congratulations to the students for their remarkable achievements in the 2022-2023 UK International School Qualifications. He acknowledged the role of teachers, mentors, and school staff in supporting the students throughout their educational journey.

Dr. Randa Diab Bahman, a senior lecturer at Kuwait Technical College and a member of the UK alumni community in Kuwait, shared her insights on the benefits of UK education and how it has significantly contributed to her professional success.

The British Council's Partner Schools Network (PSN) plays a pivotal role in offering high-quality educational products and services, including Quality Assurance self-assessment tools and a comprehensive suite of in-service teacher training workshops for both primary and secondary educators. With 22 schools in Kuwait offering UK qualifications, the number is steadily increasing, reflecting the growing preference for UK curriculum-based education in the region.
