During the three-day visit, the AUS delegation delved into Cambridge’s research and innovation ecosystem. They visited key sites like Cambridge Enterprise, the Science Park, the Bradfield Centre, and Babraham Research Campus. Discussions centred on commercialisation models, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem development, providing valuable insights into Cambridge's approach to innovation.

AUS Chancellor Dr Tod Laursen remarked that the visit strengthened ties with Cambridge’s innovation network. He noted that aligning research, enterprise, and education is crucial for achieving meaningful outcomes. This collaboration aims to foster a deeper connection between AUS and Cambridge in various academic fields.

The visit culminated in signing a memorandum of understanding between AUS and Cambridge University Press and Assessment. This agreement focuses on enhancing English-language education, academic publishing, and teacher training. Additionally, it includes developing Arabic-language education and integrating digital and AI-driven pedagogy into learning environments.

Jane Mann, managing director of Partnership for Education at Cambridge University Press and Assessment, stated that this partnership will bolster educational collaboration. It aims to improve policy development and learning outcomes between AUS and Cambridge. The agreement signifies a significant step forward in educational cooperation between these institutions.

The programme also featured a gala dinner at the Fitzwilliam Museum hosted by Sheikha Bodour. Attended by leaders from Cambridge and academics alike, this event highlighted the spirit of academic and cultural exchange that defines AUS’s expanding global presence.
