Abu Dhabi Hosts Second Industrialists Career Exhibition To Strengthen Emiratisation

The second edition of the Industrialists Career Exhibition is currently taking place in Abu Dhabi from April 21-23, aiming to bolster the presence of Emiratis in the private sector by offering over 800 employment and numerous training opportunities. This initiative is a collaborative effort led by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) alongside the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and Adnoc Group. The event was inaugurated by key figures including Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Ghanam Butti Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of Nafis, and Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT.

This year's exhibition is notable for its commitment to inclusivity, aiming to create 150 jobs specifically for people of determination. It also focuses on promoting the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme's incentives, which are designed to localise supply chains and support Emiratisation within the UAE's burgeoning industrial and technological sectors.

Boosting Emiratisation in Abu Dhabi

The exhibition aligns with several strategic national initiatives such as Operation 300bn, the National ICV Programme, and the Make it in the Emiratis initiative. These efforts collectively aim to enhance the role of the private sector and national talent in driving economic growth within the UAE.

Omar Al Suwaidi highlighted the ministry's dedication to enhancing the national industrial sector's growth and competitiveness through capacity building. This includes a focus on empowering Emirati talents with job and training opportunities that contribute to securing quality employment, thereby supporting the national economy.

Ghanam Butti Al Mazrouei underscored the significance of career exhibitions like this one in showcasing opportunities for nationals in industrial and advanced technology sectors. He praised the success of last year's edition in providing numerous job and training opportunities through leading UAE institutes. The Nafis programme plays a crucial role in this initiative, aiming to develop Emirati skills to meet international standards and foster public-private partnerships for economic development.

Adnoc's commitment to the national economy and Emirati talent empowerment through its In-Country Value Programme was also highlighted. The company's strategy focuses on prioritising Emiratisation in major contracts and facilitating recruitment through career exhibitions. This approach not only ensures sustainable employment for UAE nationals but also enhances operational sustainability and competitive advantage by integrating Emirati talent into their supply chain. To date, Adnoc has successfully integrated over 11,500 Emirati talents into private sector roles within its supply chain, in collaboration with strategic partners.

The Industrialists Career Exhibition stands as a testament to the fruitful collaboration between public and private sectors in developing the national economy and empowering Emirati talent. With more than 1,000 new job opportunities projected by the end of the year, including 800 from this current edition, it marks a significant step towards achieving these ambitious goals.
