World Music Day 2024: From Raja Kumari To Achint Thakkar, Artists Reflect On Music's Role

On the occasion of World Music Day, music artists from Disney+ Hotstar shows share their thoughts on the significance of music in their lives.

Singer Raja Kumari, known for her song "Sherni Aayi" in Aarya, expressed, "Everything I am today is because of music. Ever since I was a child, I always knew that when there's a beat, my heart comes alive. Music has been my guide, my companion, and my inspiration through every stage of my life."

She added, "My song, 'Sherni Aayi' for Disney+ Hotstar's Aarya, is meant to empower you. When you listen to it, I want you to feel strong, confident, and inspired. On this special day, I want to remind everyone that there is a 'sherni' within each one of you. This inner strength is something that music can help you discover and embrace."

Composer Achint Thakkar, who created the music album for Lootere, shared his perspective: "I see the world through the lens of music. Music is incredibly close to my heart-it's everything I know and everything I aspire to. My goal has always been to create music that not only touches people's hearts but also energizes and uplifts them."

Thakkar continued, "Whether it's composing the theme for Lootere on Disney+ Hotstar or my other projects, everything I've done has been with the people in mind.
