Inspection Bungalow: Kerala's First Horror-Comedy Series Set To Premiere On November 14

ZEE5 Global is gearing up to release its latest Malayalam original series, Inspection Bungalow, on November 14. Directed by Saiju S.S., the series stars Sabarish Varma and is set in a police station where strange events blur the line between reality and the supernatural. This paranormal comedy promises to keep viewers engaged with its mix of mystery, horror, and humor.

The story unfolds in Aravangad village, where Sub-Inspector Vishnu, played by Sabarish Varma, is tasked with relocating his police station to an abandoned government property known as Inspection Bungalow. What begins as a routine transfer soon turns into a chilling investigation involving mysterious deaths and ghostly apparitions. As Vishnu confronts his fears, he teams up with Mythili, a skilled paranormal researcher, uncovering secrets darker than the spirits themselves.

Produced by Veena Nair under A Veena Nair Productions and penned by Suneesh Varanaad, the series features notable performances from Aadhiya Prasad, Shaju Sreedhar, and Senthil Krishna. The show blends various elements to offer an unpredictable experience that keeps audiences on edge until the final episode. Malayalam superstar Dileep has shared the trailer on his social media platforms.

Director Saiju S.S. explained that Inspection Bungalow is not just about fear but also about finding humor and meaning amidst it. "This series explores how the unseen often mirrors our own truths," he said. "As Kerala's first-ever horror-comedy web series, we wanted to break away from formulas." The director emphasized that every frame aims to evoke tension, amusement, or reflection.

Sabarish Varma shared his thoughts on playing Vishnu: "He's a simple man caught between fear and absurdity." He noted that this role challenged him as an actor due to its blend of emotion and dark comedy. "Inspection Bungalow isn't a straight horror story," he added. "It's layered with irony and moments that make you laugh unexpectedly."

Lloyd C Xavier, ZEE5 Business Head for Malayalam and Tamil content, expressed excitement about continuing their success with Malayalam stories through Inspection Bungalow. "This series blends mystery, fear, humor and emotion in a way that feels both grounded and gripping," he stated.
