Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya: Sequel Hints Despite Mixed Reception

In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian cinema, the trend of announcing sequels even before the current film hits the screens has become increasingly popular. This phenomenon was observed with several films last year, including 'Bholaa', 'Jawan', 'Ganapath', and 'Animal', which all hinted at future installments. Continuing this trend into the current year, the pan-India film 'Hanuman' and 'Fighter' have also sparked discussions about sequels prior to their release. Adding to this list is the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'.

Directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' garnered mixed reactions from critics. Despite a decent opening weekend, the film experienced a drop in box office collections during the weekdays. However, it managed to pick up on Valentine's Day before witnessing a significant decline on its seventh day, culminating in a week one collection of Rs. 44.35 crore, which is considered average. This performance raises questions about the potential for a sequel.

Amidst speculation, Kriti Sanon engaged with fans on social media, addressing inquiries about a sequel. When asked about the possibility of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya 2', Kriti expressed optimism, attributing it to the love and support from fans which might inspire Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah to pen a sequel soon.

With All the love pouring in, I’m sure Amit &Aradhana (writers& directors) are compelled to write Part2 soooonnnn! ????❤️ https://t.co/95pUVwycx8

Historically, films that do not perform well at the box office seldom see a sequel. The fate of 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya 2' remains uncertain as we await further developments.

Kriti Sanon's career trajectory continues to ascend as she gears up for her next big release, 'The Crew'. Scheduled for a March 29, 2024 release, the film features an ensemble cast including Tabu and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles. Additionally, Kriti is set to appear in 'Do Patti', a Netflix original that also stars Kajol in a leading role. These projects highlight Kriti's versatility and her continued prominence in Bollywood.
