Director Koratala Siva Discusses Devara's Connection With Hindi Audience Ahead Of Release

Will Devara Connect To Hindi Audience: Devara: Part 1 is scheduled to hit theatres on Friday, September 27, 2024. Originally produced in Telugu, the film will also be available in several regional languages, including Hindi. A key question arises: will the narrative resonate with Hindi-speaking audiences? Director Koratala Siva shared his insights on this matter before the film's release.

Devara: Part 1, featuring NTR and directed by Koratala Siva, is ready for its cinematic debut this Friday. When asked about its potential connection with Hindi viewers, Siva expressed to 123Telugu, "I am not the kind of person who does those calculations." He elaborated that during the story creation or specific scenes, he doesn't consider if it would appeal to Hindi audiences. "I am weak at doing such things," he admitted. Siva believes a film can connect universally if the storytelling is organic.

Koratala Siva emphasised that filmmakers should focus on movie quality rather than targeting specific audiences. He questioned whether films like Lagaan and Dangal are Bollywood or Tollywood productions. "We gave a standing ovation to both of them," he noted. According to him, directors who work sincerely and give their best to the story can transcend language barriers. If emotions and drama are well-executed, there should be no doubt about connecting with Hindi sensibilities.
