Anshuman Jha And Sarah Hopkins Star In Timeless Love Story 'Welcome To Agra'

Ashish Dubey, a director from Uttar Pradesh, is making his debut with the film "Welcome To Agra." This movie is set in 2000 and tells a classic love story between a cycle rickshaw driver and a British tourist in Agra. Ashish has worked with notable South Indian filmmakers like N. Lingusamy and aims to create a traditional Hindi love story.

Produced by Mad Films, "Welcome To Agra" will start filming at the end of January. Anshuman will join the project after finishing his current action film, "Lakadbaggha2," in December. He plans to spend Christmas with his wife, who is a triathlete, and their nine-month-old daughter before starting this new venture.

Ashish Dubey expressed his long-held desire to create this film, saying, "Agra is the mecca of love. And I have dreamt of making this film for years." He is thrilled to work with Anshuman Jha, noting that Anshuman hasn't done a pure love story in over ten years. Ashish hopes the film will revive interest in genuine romance stories against the backdrop of the Taj Mahal.

Anshuman Jha shares his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "I believe in the power of love and how it can move mountains." He feels that audiences have missed out on classic love stories like "DDLJ" or "Jab We Met" in recent years. Anshuman is excited about playing a rickshaw driver in Uttarakhand Pradesh, fulfilling a long-time dream.
