Vikrant Massey Resumes Filming Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan After Retirement Announcement

Vikrant Massey recently stirred excitement among fans by announcing a break from acting, which many interpreted as retirement. Earlier this week, Vikrant shared a heartfelt note explaining his decision to step back temporarily. However, just days later, he resumed work and is currently filming in Dehradun with Shanaya Kapoor for their upcoming project, "Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan."

After starting the shoot, Vikrant attended an event featuring Uttarakhand's chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami. A viral video captured Vikrant greeting the politician on stage, engaging in conversation and shaking hands. Shanaya Kapoor was also present in the video, dressed casually in denim pants and a sweater. The duo posed for photos together at the event.

The storyline of "Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan," starring Vikrant Massey, remains under wraps. However, it is known that the film will explore themes of romance and ghosting. Directed by Santosh Singh, the movie is produced by Varun Bagla and Mansi Bagla. The script is penned by Mansi Bagla and Niranjan Iyengar.

Vikrant's announcement of taking a 'break' from acting surprised many fans. In his note, he expressed gratitude for the support over the years and mentioned his desire to recalibrate his life roles as a husband, father, son, and actor. He stated: "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor."

He further added: "So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between." This message led to speculation about his retirement.

Later clarifying to News18 Showsha, Vikrant said: "I'm not retiring... Just burned out. Need a long break. Miss home and health are also acting up... People misread it [the social media post]." He emphasized that acting remains his passion: "Acting is all I can do. And it has given me everything I have."

Vikrant explained that both his physical and mental health have suffered due to work pressures: "I just want to take some time off, want to better my craft." He feels monotony in his current routine: "My post has been misinterpreted... That I am quitting or retiring from acting." His focus now is on family and health: "I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health."

He assured fans that he plans to return when ready: "I would be back when the time feels right." This statement reassures fans that Vikrant's break is temporary.
