Vidyut Jammwal's Crakk Faces Tough Box Office Challenge, Struggles To Shine
Vidyut Jammwal, renowned for his dynamic roles in action cinema, is in the spotlight with his latest film, "Crakk," which marks India's inaugural sports action movie. Directed by Aditya Datt, the film also features Amy Jackson, Nora Fatehi, and Arjun Rampal. Despite the high expectations, "Crakk" has received mixed reviews and is facing challenges at the box office.
The movie embarked on its box office journey with an opening day collection of Rs 4.25 crores but saw a significant drop of over 49% on its second day, bringing in just Rs 2.15 crores. The downward trend continued into its third day, with "Crakk" earning Rs 2.3 crores, totaling Rs 7.82 crores in its initial weekend, as reported by Sacnilk.

Competing against Yami Gautam and Priyamani's "Article 370," a political action thriller, "Crakk" has struggled to maintain its presence at the box office. The ongoing competition with Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya," a science fiction romantic comedy, further complicates its standing.
With the current trends, it appears that "Crakk" might not overcome the Monday hurdle, anticipating a significant drop in collections to potentially Rs 1-1.5 crores. This situation underscores the movie's inability to surpass "Article 370" in box office earnings.
In a conversation about "Crakk," Vidyut Jammwal expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "You'll see everyone doing their best. This is the best action I've done in my life... In 'Crakk', I enjoyed working with these people. Aditya is a friend of mine, I like the way he thinks. He sees me as Superman, he thinks I can do well. That's what makes me really push my bar."
The film's struggle at the box office highlights the competitive nature of cinema releases and the unpredictable preferences of audiences. Despite the challenges faced by "Crakk," Jammwal's dedication to his craft and his role in this pioneering sports actioner remains evident.
