Vidya Balan Shares Enthusiasm For Potential Role In The Dirty Picture 2 Amidst Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Success
Vidya Balan is celebrating the massive success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which has joined the 200 crore club and continues to perform well at the box office. Vidya has been a part of the film industry for nearly 20 years, and besides her iconic role as Manjulika, another memorable character she portrayed is Silk in The Dirty Picture.
The Dirty Picture, released in 2011, was a biopic based on the life of South Indian actress Silk Smitha. Vidya delivered an outstanding performance in the film, earning her a National Award. This role remains one of the highlights of her career.

Last year, rumours circulated about a sequel to The Dirty Picture being in development. Reports suggested that Taapsee Pannu or Kriti Sanon might be considered for the lead role. Although there was no official announcement, audiences were eager about the possibility.
In a recent conversation with Filmibeat, Vidya Balan was asked if she would reprise her role in The Dirty Picture 2 if approached by the filmmakers. She responded, "It all depends on the script, story, and so many things. If I feel compelled to do it, I will do it. I am more than happy, more than excited to do something risque because it is been a while since I did something like that. But, I can't decide just like that 'okay I want to do The Dirty Picture 2'. It has to be exciting for me."
Before starring in The Dirty Picture, Vidya had already appeared in several films. However, this Milan Luthria-directed movie significantly boosted her career. It led people to refer to her as the female Khan of Bollywood. The film grossed Rs. 80 crore at the box office, which was impressive for a female-led project at that time.
Regarding Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3's box office performance, it has amassed approximately Rs. 220 crore within just 15 days of release. This achievement is remarkable, and it remains to be seen if it will experience a significant surge during its third weekend.
