Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Review: Rajkummar Rao And Triptii Dimri Shine In This Decently Funny Film

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Review: Raaj Shaandilyaa, known for Dream Girl, has set expectations high with his comedic films. His sequel, Dream Girl 2, performed well at the box office but didn't receive the same critical acclaim as its predecessor. With Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, audiences are eager to see if it delivers the laughs. Here's our review.

The story revolves around Vicky and Vidya, childhood sweethearts living in the same neighbourhood. They marry and decide to record their wedding night. However, a robbery occurs and the video CD goes missing. The plot thickens with the fear of their private video being leaked. To find out what happens next, you'll need to watch the film.

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video: A Review

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and co-written with Yusuf Ali Khan, Ishrat Khan, and Rajan Agarwal, the film is set in the 90s. This era adds charm through Kumar Sanu's songs and other nostalgic elements. The movie starts off moderately but soon turns into a laughter fest. The first half is packed with hilarious scenes and witty one-liners that will leave you in stitches.

The second half begins promisingly, hinting at a comedy of errors. However, it starts to feel drawn out before an engaging climax redeems it. Shaandilyaa's signature style includes ending his films with a meaningful message, which is evident here too.

Rajkummar Rao once again showcases his comedic talent with an outstanding performance. Triptii Dimri shines in certain scenes that require exaggerated comedy but is otherwise satisfactory. However, Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat steal the show. Vijay Raaz excels in his role with some of the best dialogues, while Mallika Sherawat impresses with her stunning looks and impeccable comic timing.

The supporting cast including Tiku Talsania, Archana Puran Singh, Rakesh Bedi, and Archana Patel deliver commendable performances in their respective roles.

Music Highlights in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video

The film excels in its music department. All songs are highly entertaining with Na Na Na Na Re standing out at a crucial moment in the film, making you want to dance along. Sajna Ve Sajna is well recreated but lacks Shehnaaz Gill's expected oomph factor.

Final Thoughts on Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video offers decent humour paired with a meaningful message at its conclusion. However, it's best not to approach it with overly high expectations.

P.S.: Initially rated at 2.5 stars; an additional half star is awarded for Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat's performances.
