Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Faces Legal Trouble Over Allegations Of Storyline Plagiarism
Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Faces Legal Issues: The release of "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video," scheduled for October 11, 2024, is uncertain due to legal challenges. Allegations have surfaced claiming the film's plot mirrors that of the Hollywood movie "Sex Tape." The director has denied these claims, but producers Sanjay Tiwari and Gul Bano Khan have taken legal action, asserting the storyline is copied.
Producers Sanjay Tiwari and Gul Bano Khan claim that the movie's storyline was originally their idea, registered with the Screen Writers Association (SWA) in 2015. Gul Bano Khan told IANS, "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video ka Jo central idea hai, wo maine 2015 me SWA ke saath register kiya tha as a writer. Iss per film banane wali thi jise Sanjay Tiwari produce karne wale the. But, for some reasons, it got delayed. So we have sent this legal notice to all the makers of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video."

Sanjay Tiwari shared with TimesNow that they had intended to title their project "Sex Hai Toh Life Hai...?" They were surprised to find that "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video" shared an identical storyline. Sanjay explained, "The central idea is, husband and wife shoot their own private video for themselves, for a healthier relationship and the CD/DVD goes missing. After watching the promo we realized that Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video revolves around the same idea. So, we had sent legal notice to all the makers and were waiting for their proper revert from everyone. If we do not get the revert within the next 2-3 days then will take the appropriate action."
The producers are awaiting a response from those involved with "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video." They have stated that if no satisfactory reply is received soon, further legal steps will be taken. This situation has put the film's release date in jeopardy as both parties await resolution.
