Vettaiyan Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth’s Film Surpasses Rs 3 Crores In First Week Performance

Rajinikanth's latest film, Vettaiyan, has been a hot topic since its announcement. Directed by T.J Gnanavel, this action drama is Rajinikanth's first major release of the year. The film also marks Amitabh Bachchan's debut in Tamil cinema and reunites him with Rajinikanth after over 30 years. Vettaiyan has been eagerly awaited by fans.

In Vettaiyan, both Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan portray police officers battling against Rana Daggubati, who plays the main villain. The cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Rithika Singh, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, and Ramesh Thilak. The film has received positive reviews and is performing well at the box office.

The movie had an impressive start with a total collection of Rs 31.7 crores across all languages on its opening day. In the Hindi market alone, it earned Rs 60 lakhs initially. Despite a dip on the first Monday, Vettaiyan maintained steady earnings throughout its first week. According to Sacnilk reports, on day 7 (first Wednesday), it collected Rs 4.3 crores overall and Rs 23 lakhs from the Hindi market. This brought its total Hindi market earnings to Rs 2 crores.

In its first week in the Hindi market, Vettaiyan amassed Rs 3 crores. This performance surpassed Rajinikanth's earlier 2023 release Jailer, which had earned Rs 1.9 crores in its initial week in the same market.

Vettaiyan OTT Release Update

Media reports suggest that Vettaiyan will soon be available for digital streaming. It is anticipated to premiere on Prime Video next month (November). However, an official confirmation regarding the OTT release is still awaited from the filmmakers.
