Vettaiyan Box Office Collection: Rajinikanth's Film Surpasses Rs 3 Crores In Week One

Rajinikanth's latest film, Vettaiyan, has been making waves since its announcement. Directed by T.J Gnanavel, this action drama is Rajinikanth's first major release of the year. The film also marks Amitabh Bachchan's debut in Tamil cinema and reunites him with Rajinikanth after more than 30 years. Vettaiyan has been eagerly awaited by fans and critics alike.

In Vettaiyan, both Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan portray police officers who face off against Rana Daggubati, the main villain. The cast also includes Fahadh Faasil, Rithika Singh, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, and Ramesh Thilak. The film has received positive reviews and is performing well at the box office.

The film opened with Rs 31.7 crores across all languages on its first day. In the Hindi market alone, it earned Rs 60 lakhs initially. Despite a dip on the first Monday, Vettaiyan maintained steady earnings throughout its first week. According to Sacnilk, on day seven (first Wednesday), it collected Rs 4.3 crores overall and Rs 23 lakhs in Hindi. This brought its total Hindi earnings to Rs 2 crores.

By the end of its first week, Vettaiyan had garnered Rs 3 crores in the Hindi market. This performance surpassed Rajinikanth's earlier 2023 release, Jailer, which earned Rs 1.9 crores in its initial week in Hindi markets.

Vettaiyan OTT Release Update

Reports suggest that Vettaiyan will soon be available for digital streaming. It is expected to premiere on Prime Video next month (November). However, an official confirmation regarding the OTT release is still awaited from the filmmakers.
