Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 8 Prediction: Rajinikanth's Film Expected To Start Week Two Slowly

Rajinikanth, a major star in India, delighted his fans with the release of "Vettaiyan" during Vijay Dashmi. This action drama, directed by T.J Gnanavel, features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Rithika Singh, Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, and Ramesh Thilak.

"Vettaiyan" has been eagerly awaited this year. Released in multiple languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, it marks Amitabh Bachchan's first Tamil film. Additionally, it reunites him with Rajinikanth after over 30 years since their last collaboration in the 1991 film "Hum." The movie has now completed its first week at the box office.

The film began slowly in the Hindi market but maintained a steady pace throughout its first week. On day 7 (first Wednesday), "Vettaiyan" earned Rs 23 lakhs in the Hindi market. This brought its total earnings to Rs 3 crores. Notably, it surpassed the first-week earnings of "Jailer," which were around Rs 1.9 crores.

As per current trends, "Vettaiyan" is expected to have a slow start to its second week. Predictions suggest it will earn between Rs 15-20 lakhs on day 8 (second Thursday), bringing its total close to Rs 3.5 crores.

OTT Release Update

Media reports indicate that "Vettaiyan" will soon be available for digital streaming. It is anticipated to release on Prime Video next month (November). However, an official announcement regarding its OTT release is still awaited from the makers.
