Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 3: Rajinikanth's Film Sees Minimal Growth Amidst Competition

Rajinikanth's latest film, Vettaiyan, has been making waves. Directed by T. J. Gnanavel, this action drama features a star-studded cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil. Fans worldwide are excited about the film's release. The movie also stars Manju Warrier, Abhirami, Rohini, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rao Ramesh, and Ramesh Thilak.

Vettaiyan marks Amitabh Bachchan's first appearance in Tamil cinema and reunites him with Rajinikanth after 33 years since their last collaboration in Hum (1991). In Vettaiyan, both actors portray police officers, delivering performances that have impressed audiences. The film opened to positive reviews and has shown a steady performance at the box office.

The Hindi version of Vettaiyan collected Rs 60 lakhs on its opening day. However, it saw a decline on the second day (Friday), earning only Rs 40 lakhs. Despite high expectations for the weekend, the film experienced minimal growth on its third day (Saturday), collecting Rs 65 lakhs. This brought its total earnings in the Hindi market to Rs 1.65 crores.

Vettaiyan has been compared to Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), but it hasn't surpassed it yet. On its third day in the Hindi market, GOAT earned Rs 2.35 crores, leaving Vettaiyan trailing significantly behind.

Anticipated OTT Release

As Vettaiyan continues to generate buzz, there are reports about its digital release. It is expected to premiere on Prime Video in November. However, an official confirmation is still awaited regarding this OTT release.
