Vettaiyan Box Office Day 14: Rajinikanth's Film Earns Half Of Jailer’s Numbers Despite Steady Hold

Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 14 (Hindi): Rajinikanth's film Vettaiyan has emerged as one of the year's major releases. This marks Thalaiva's first full release in 2024 and features Amitabh Bachchan's much-anticipated Tamil debut. Directed by T.J Gnanavel, the action drama has captivated audiences with its impressive cast and intriguing storyline. Notably, this is the fourth collaboration between Rajinikanth and Amitabh after three decades.

Besides Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, Vettaiyan stars Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Rithika Singh, Abhirami, Rao Ramesh, Dushara Vijayan, and Ramesh Thilak. The film showcases Rajinikanth and Amitabh as cops battling Rana Daggubati's antagonist character. Released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada languages, Vettaiyan has won hearts globally with its engaging action sequences.

Despite positive reviews and significant buzz, Vettaiyan couldn't surpass Rajinikanth's 2023 release Jailer in the Hindi market. On day 14 of its release, Vettaiyan earned half of what Jailer did. For context, Jailer had collected Rs 27 lakhs on its fourteenth day.

Two weeks into its release, Vettaiyan initially received a moderate response in the Hindi market. However, there was a notable decline in numbers during the second week. According to Sacnilk reports, while there was a significant dip on day 12 (second Monday), the film maintained a steady performance afterward. On day 14 (second Wednesday), it earned Rs 10 lakhs in Hindi markets, bringing its total to Rs 4.19 crores.

Vettaiyan OTT Release Update

Lately, there's been considerable excitement about Vettaiyan's OTT release. Media reports suggest that it might premiere on Prime Video next month (November). However, an official announcement regarding this digital release is still awaited from the makers.
