Vettaiyan Box Office Collection Day 10: Rajinikanth's Film Sees Growth Yet Falls Short Of Jailer’s Earnings

Rajinikanth's latest film, Vettaiyan, has been in theatres for ten days, creating a buzz among fans. Directed by T.J Gnanavel, this action drama features an impressive cast including Rajinikanth, Rana Daggubati, and Amitabh Bachchan. The film also stars Fahad Faasil, Abhirami, and others. As one of the year's most awaited releases, it has captivated audiences.

The film showcases Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan as police officers, with Rana Daggubati playing the main villain. Notably, this marks Amitabh Bachchan's debut in Tamil cinema and his reunion with Rajinikanth after over 30 years. Released in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, Vettaiyan has received positive reviews from viewers.

During its first week, Vettaiyan experienced a decline in box office earnings. However, the second week brought renewed interest in the Hindi market. According to Sacnilk reports, the film earned Rs 14 lakhs on day 9 (second Friday) and increased to Rs 25 lakhs on day 10 (second Saturday). This brought its total earnings to Rs 3.59 crores.

Despite its success, Vettaiyan is often compared to Rajinikanth's earlier release Jailer from 2023. On its second Saturday, Vettaiyan couldn't surpass Jailer's earnings of Rs 0.45 crores. The comparison highlights the significant gap between the two films' performances.

Vettaiyan OTT Release Update

Media reports suggest that Vettaiyan will soon be available for digital streaming. It is anticipated to premiere on Prime Video next month (November). However, an official announcement regarding its OTT release is still pending from the filmmakers.
