Vedaa's Kshitij Chauhan Opens Up About His Dream Role And Working With John Abraham

Vedaa, featuring John Abraham and Sharvari, has garnered mixed reviews from critics and had a slow start at the box office. Despite this, the actors' performances have been praised. Among the supporting cast, Kshitij Chauhan's portrayal of a villain has particularly stood out.

Kshitij shared that he has received positive feedback for his role in Vedaa. He expressed satisfaction that audiences disliked his character, which he sees as a sign of success in portraying an antagonist. "It all feels great and surreal right now and I love the fact that people are talking about the performance and people are loving the work that I've done," he said.

Kshitij described working with John Abraham and Sharvari as a wonderful experience. He mentioned being a long-time fan of John Abraham, calling it a dream come true to work with him in his debut film. "He's so grounded, he's so genuine and he's so considerate about everyone," Kshitij noted. He also enjoyed collaborating with Sharvari, discussing acting techniques and their upcoming projects.

Challenging Scenes

Kshitij found one scene particularly challenging where he had to act aggressively towards Sharvari's character. They discussed how to approach it to ensure authenticity. "I was like, you know, I'll go all out. I would have to get that anger, that frustration," he explained. The preparation helped them deliver a convincing performance.

Future Roles

Looking ahead, Kshitij is open to diverse roles as long as they are significant. He expressed interest in playing characters related to his personal passions like music and cricket. "I am a musician also; I am a drummer. So, I would love to play a musician character," he said. Additionally, he hopes to portray an army officer due to his admiration for the Indian Army.

Upcoming Projects

Kshitij hinted at future projects but remained tight-lipped about details since they are still in early stages. He is currently focused on Vedaa but mentioned having both a web show and a film lined up for consideration.

"So right now I am just focusing on Vedaa... once the official statement is out, I am sure everyone would know about it," he added.

The film has collected around Rs. 8 crore in its first two days at the box office, which is relatively low. The release of Stree 2 has impacted Vedaa's performance significantly.
