The book reveals that Ramu "screamed and broke down" as he recounted what happened earlier that day: "Do you know what Jani Uthup told me this afternoon at the Chinese restaurant? He said, 'I don't know about Usha and her feelings, but I am in love with your wife.'" When questioned by Ramu about her feelings for Jani, Usha bravely admitted she had feelings for him.
