When approached to play Yamini, I found it intriguing. "Secret Ameerzada" is popular on Pocket FM, so I was excited to join. Knowing the story helped me decide. Playing a negative character is refreshing since I'm known for comic roles. I've also played negative roles in "Sonpari" and "Bani Ishq Da Kalma," which were well-received by audiences.

After a break, I felt ready to embrace this negative character in a successful series. I asked the team to explain the story and my scenes thoroughly and met with the director for insights on the character's journey. I prefer not to over-prepare; my experience helps me let it flow naturally once I've learned my lines and understood my character. It's vital to connect authentically with the character for the audience to resonate with the portrayal.

I am surprised by how much love this series has received from people. It reminds me of when I eagerly waited for my grandma's stories as a kid. Even if upset, her stories would cheer me up. I never thought an audio platform would become so mainstream in entertainment. Like many others, I enjoy listening to stories, which is why we watch movies—to be regaled by good stories. This whole experience has been wonderful for me.

Being part of a hit show on Pocket FM feels great. Whether it's "Comedy Nights with Kapil" or the film Judai, where my dialogue 'Abba Jabba Dabba' became popular, being associated with successful projects is rewarding because many people listen. So, when Pocket FM approached me, I instantly agreed because I enjoy working on exciting and dynamic projects.

Creative Challenges in Audio Series

With audio series, finding the right balance between conveying emotions solely through voice and ensuring that the performance resonates authentically with listeners is crucial. While working on promos for these audio series, we need to recreate storytelling with visual cues and carefully modulate tone, pace, and inflection to effectively convey the character's emotions and intentions to stimulate the audience's imagination.
