UnPrisoned Season 2 Returns: Release Date, Cast Insights & Streaming Platform

UnPrisoned Season 2 OTT Release Date, Platform Updates: The popular American comedy series UnPrisoned is set to return with a new season. The first season premiered in March 2023 and gained immense popularity due to its engaging storyline. Created by Tracy McMillan, the show centres on the dysfunctional Alexander family. It follows single mum and relationship therapist Paige Alexander, whose life changes dramatically when her father is released from prison and moves in with her and her teenage son. After over a year of waiting, fans are eager to watch UnPrisoned Season 2.

Produced by Onyx Collective, Kerry Washington will reprise her role as Paige Alexander in UnPrisoned Season 2. The comedy-drama also features Delroy Lindo as Edwin Alexander, Paige's father, and Faly Rakotohavana as Finneas "Finn" Alexander, Paige's teenage son.

The supporting cast includes Brenda Strong as Nadine, Jee Young Han as Esti Nelson, Edwin Lee Gibson as Fox along with Brandee Evans, Oliver Hudson and Janie Chung.

UnPrisoned Season 2 will explore deeper into the Alexander household and their familial issues. The second season will continue from where it left off in the first season. While the first season concluded with Edwin moving out of his daughter's home, fans will now see how he manages his life independently without relying on his daughter anymore.

UnPrisoned Season 2 will stream exclusively on Hulu. All eight episodes will be available at once on 15th July 2024 on Hulu.

The official synopsis for UnPrisoned Season 2 reads: "The Alexander family is still a mess. Paige's therapy practice is in trouble, Finn's anxiety is through the roof, Edwin is still figuring out how to get his life together outside of prison, and their relationships are more complicated than ever."
