Ulajh: The latest track from the film Ulajh, "Ilahi Mere Rubaroo," has been released and is already making an impact. This contemporary qawwali, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, features the voices of Shahzad Ali, Sanjith Hegde, and Shashwat Sachdev himself, with lyrics by Kumaar.

The song "Ilahi Mere Rubaroo" is more than just music; it tells a compelling story of perseverance and national duty. It blends devotion and patriotism into a harmonious melody that lingers long after the music ends.

Ulajh's Qawwali Song Blends Patriotism

The video showcases Roshan Mathew and Janhvi Kapoor's characters in a high-stakes investigation and mission, featuring scenes of them racing on a bike. Gulshan Devaiah's character is involved in his own intense plot with guns and strategic planning. The visuals are set against a dargah backdrop, where qawwali singers perform amidst the unfolding chaos between the characters. The video also captures the tension and thrill of a chase as the three protagonists engage in a mission-driven game of cat and mouse.

Director Sudhanshu Saria shared his thoughts: "This song comes at a crucial juncture in ULAJH and artfully captures the sense of repentance and rebirth that Suhana is craving at the climax. The idea of being able to add our modern and soulful twist to the Qawwali form and become part of the legacy of films that have used the Qawwali was tremendously exciting to me as a filmmaker and Shashwat has truly outdone himself with 'Ilahi Mere Rubaroo'. Sensitively written by Kumaar and sung with devotion and gusto by Shahzad and Sanjith, I couldn't be more grateful to have this timeless track on our film's album."

Presented by Junglee Pictures, "Ulajh" follows a young diplomat from a family of patriots who gets caught in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far from home at an important post. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Meiyang Chang, Rajesh Tailang, Adil Hussain, and Jitendra Joshi. It was released on 2nd August 2024.

Composer Shashwat Sachdev added: "'Ilahi Mere Rubaroo' showcases the power of music to evoke emotion and tell a story. The process of composing and performing this qawwali has been one of the highlights of my career, and I am eager for listeners to experience the depth and passion we've poured into this song."

"Ilahi Mere Rubaroo" is now available on Sony Music India's official YouTube channel, offering audiences insight into Ulajh's intense patriotic spirit.
