Ulajh Faces Tough Box Office Battle On Day 5 Against AMKDT

Ulajh Box Office Collection Prediction Day 5: Janhvi Kapoor's performance in Mr and Mrs Mahi garnered much praise, raising expectations for her next film, Ulajh. Despite the spy thriller's intriguing trailer and star-studded cast, it has struggled at the box office since its release. Directed by Sudhanshu Saria, Ulajh centres on an IFS officer caught in a perilous situation.

Besides Janhvi, the film features Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain, Roshan Matthews, and Rajesh Tailang in significant roles. The movie opened to mixed reviews and had a slow start at the box office. It collected Rs 1.15 crores on its first Friday but faced challenges during the opening weekend.

According to Sacnilk, Ulajh earned Rs 1.75 crores on its first Saturday (day 2) and saw a slight increase on its first Sunday (day 3) with Rs 2 crores. However, the collection dropped significantly by over 70% on its first Monday (day 4), earning only Rs 57 lakhs. This brought the total earnings to Rs 5.47 crores. Given this trend, Ulajh is expected to earn between Rs 40-50 lakhs today (day 5/first Tuesday).

The film has been competing with Ajay Devgn and Tabu's Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey, which has maintained a lead since day one.

Discussing her involvement in Ulajh, Janhvi told Variety, "I've never taken so much ownership of a film and been so obsessive or sensitive about a film before. They really made me feel involved and empowered, and I have a voice. It's a very good feeling because I've never taken so much ownership or had this much of an opinion on everything that has to do with the film."

Despite the initial buzz created by its trailer and cast, Ulajh's box office performance has been underwhelming from day one. The film's struggle continued through its opening weekend and into the following days.

The mixed reviews from audiences contributed to its slow start at the box office. Even with notable actors like Gulshan Devaiah and Adil Hussain, Ulajh couldn't sustain momentum after its initial release.
