Tumbbad Re-Release Box Office Collection Prediction Day 2: The epic horror-thriller 'Tumbbad', starring Sohum Shah, had a strong opening after its re-release. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, the film originally came out in 2018. Although it initially flopped at the box office, it has since gained cult status. Following successful re-releases of films like 'Laila Majnu', 'Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein', and 'Rockstar', the makers decided to bring 'Tumbbad' back to cinemas.

According to a report published by bollymoviereviewz.com, the epic folklore horror-saga earned around Rs 1.5 crore on the first day of its re-release, beating Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders. For those unversed, Tummbad had opened to a box office collection of Rs 65 lakhs back in 2018.

Kareena's film also released yesterday but had a slow start in cinemas. As per Sacnilk, The Buckingham Murders raked in only around Rs 1.15 crore on day one, marking Kareena Kapoor's lowest box office opening in the past 15 years.

After a flop theatrical journey in 2018, Tumbbad has returned to cinemas on an impressive note. Given the current buzz, the horror-drama is expected to soar higher at the box office. The movie is likely to see significant growth over its first weekend of re-release.

As per the buzz around the film, Tumbbad is likely to earn between Rs 1.50-2 crore today, day two (September 14) at the box office.
