Tiger Shroff's Hero No. 1 Put On Hold After Recent Box Office Disappointments
Tiger Shroff's debut in 2014 with Heropanti, alongside Kriti Sanon, was a major success. However, his recent films have not fared well at the box office. Movies like Heropanti 2, Ganapath, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan failed to impress audiences and were significant flops.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Tiger Shroff's upcoming film Hero No. 1 has been shelved. The film was directed by Jagan Shakti of Mission Mangal fame. This decision raises questions about whether the shelving is due to the actor's recent string of flops or his high fees and entourage costs.

A source close to Bollywood Hungama revealed that Hero No. 1 is produced by Vashu Bhagnani and was 20% complete. The remaining portions were to be shot after the release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in April. However, BMCM's failure resulted in significant losses for Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment, putting them in debt and unable to fund Hero No. 1 further.
A trade expert commented on Tiger's high fees and the impact of his recent flops on his projects. "In the past, his films like Screw Dheela and Rambo also got shelved but they never went on floors. Hero No 1 was shot and then got indefinitely stalled," he said.
Hero No. 1 featured Disha Patani and Pashmina Roshan alongside Tiger Shroff. Initially, Sara Ali Khan was part of the cast but was later replaced by Disha Patani.
The trade expert further elaborated on Tiger's situation: "Tiger Shroff's last three films have been colossal flops and on top of it, his fees are high. Even his entourage cost put a hole in the pockets of the producers. Thankfully, he has Baaghi 4 in his kitty. Here's hoping he goes for a course correction so that he can bounce back," he suggested.
