Written by Park Ji-sook and directed by Jin Hyuk, The Tale Of Lady OK (Korean: 옥씨부인전) features a talented cast including Lim Ji-yeon, Choo Young-woo, Yeonwoo, and Kim Jae-won. The series narrates the extraordinary journey of a female slave who builds her identity, status, and marriage on falsehoods while striving for success against all odds.

The Tale of Lady OK is set during the Joseon era and follows Ok Tae Young's story. Portrayed by Lim Ji Yeon, Tae Young is a female slave who defies societal norms to achieve greatness. Despite her status as a slave, she is admired for her legal expertise and dedication to helping others.

Beneath her achievements lies a dangerous secret: her name, identity, and even her husband are part of an elaborate deception. The plot thickens when she meets Cheon Seung Hwi, played by Choo Young Woo. Seung Hwi is a wandering storyteller who falls in love with Tae Young at first sight.

As the narrative unfolds, Seung Hwi discovers the truth about Tae Young but remains devoted to her despite the risks posed by her hidden past. Alongside Lim Ji-yeon and Choo Young-woo, the cast includes Yeonwoo, Kim Jae-won, Lee Jae Won, Yoon Seo Ah, and Ha Yu Ri.

The Tale Of Lady OK premiered yesterday (November 30) in Korea on JTBC. It is set to launch on Netflix in various countries today (December 1), likely streaming from 12:30 pm onwards. However, this timing has not been officially confirmed yet.
