The Sabarmati Report Box Office Collection Day 1: Vikrant Massey’s Film Earns Only Rs. 1.25 Cr

The Sabarmati Report Box Office Collection Day 1: Released on November 15, The Sabarmati Report centres around the Godhra train incident. Despite generating significant interest due to its gripping storyline, the film starring Vikrant Massey did not perform well at the box office on its opening day. It earned less than Rs. 2 crore, failing to even reach Rs. 1.5 crore in collections.

The film managed to collect only Rs. 1.25 crore on its first day in India, with a Hindi occupancy rate of 16.74% on Friday. Interestingly, it still outperformed Vikrant's other release, 12th Fail, which made just Rs. 1.1 crore initially but later turned into a sleeper hit in 2023.

Vikrant Massey stars alongside Ridhi Dogra and Rashi Khanna in The Sabarmati Report. The movie's controversial theme attracted attention early on, leading to Vikrant receiving death threats for his involvement. At the trailer launch, he shared, "I have been receiving threats. Without drawing attention to it, it is something which I am dealing with and we, as a team, collectively are dealing with."

Dheeraj Sarna directed the film while Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures produced it along with Anshul Mohan and Amul V Mohan. The film faces competition from the Tamil movie Kanguva at the box office.
