Kareena Kapoor Khan on 'The Buckingham Murders'

"The Buckingham Murders is a very brave film because it's a film that we set out to do which would be very true to its ethnicity, and authenticity. We wanted to shoot the film in a small town in England and it was a story about that but the way Hansal wanted to shoot it, we were like we can't have people speak in Hindi, the people, the local people living there. So we said let's make a Hindi and English and an Hinglish film and let's stick to its truest form. So somehow I just wanted to do it. I thought after like 25 years if it's not now to experiment and do something different, it's gonna be never and I've always actually tried to do that with films like Chameli and Dev very early on in my career," Kareena expressed at a recent event.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, 'The Buckingham Murders' has become his biggest opener yet. The collaboration with producer Ektaa R Kapoor showcases immense courage in supporting this mystery thriller. Produced by Mahana Films and TBM Films, presented by Balaji Telefilms, Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, along with Kareena herself as producer.

The mystery thriller is set in an English town featuring an ensemble cast including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, it captivated audiences despite its Hinglish dialogues. Its box office performance is noteworthy given its niche appeal.

'The Buckingham Murders' challenged conventional filmmaking while allowing Kapoor Khan to showcase her versatility as an actress. The film's success reflects the hard work of the entire team, offering viewers a fresh cinematic experience.
