Tara And Akash: Love Beyond Realms Set For Dreamlike Premiere At TIFF 2024

The much-anticipated film Tara and Akash: Love Beyond Realms, starring veteran actors Deepti Naval and Amol Palekar, is all set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Young cinematographer Ateet Singh has every reason to be proud and excited about his first feature film, Tara and Akash: Love Beyond Realms. The movie will have its world premiere at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival 2024 on September 7, 2024, at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

Ateet Singh began his career as a fashion photographer in Delhi before gradually shifting his focus towards films and filmmaking. In 2012, he went to Berlin to study films, marking a significant step in his career.

Discussing his role as the Director of Photography (DOP) for the film, Ateet Singh shared, "I always wanted to do a feature film that speaks volume; just then the film Tara and Akash: Love Beyond Realms happened to me. It is a beautiful fairy tale-like journey that teaches you about life and beyond."

The film is directed by Srinivas Abrol and stars beauty pageant winners Jitesh Thakur and Alankrita Bora in lead roles. Alongside them are seasoned actors Deepti Naval, Amol Palekar, and Brijendra Kala.

Explaining how he translated the story visually, Ateet said, "Since the film's story is primarily about a book, I wanted the audience to have a dreamlike visual experience almost as if they are reading a book themselves, yet kept it higher on the contrast to maintain a certain cinematic perspective."

Previous Work

Ateet has also worked on several notable music videos for famous artists like Divine and Badshah. Additionally, he served as a second unit DOP and action cinematographer for films such as Khuda Haafiz and Collar Bomb.

This new project marks an important milestone in Ateet Singh's career as he transitions from music videos and secondary roles in films to leading the visual storytelling of a major feature film.
